NEW CHAIRMAN FOR 2017-18


Aberdeen businessman Jim Shiach has been appointed Chairman of the Grampian-Houston Association for 2017-18.

 

Jim is founder and managing director of Centrifuges Un-limited, Aberdeen-based heat transfer and mechanical specialists.  He is a regular visitor to Houston and looks forward to making an active contribution to the promotion of the Grampian-Houston Sister City link .

 

He set up his first electrical business in 1981 at the age of 21 before joining  the Swedish company Alfa Laval where he became business development manager for the oil  and gas sector.

 

Founded in 2002 as a one-man business Centrifuges Un-limited currently employs more than 30 staff and has an international clientele. The firm’s heat transfer division specialises in mud cooling for high pressure, high temperature fluid management and the mechanical separation division specialises in fuel/oily water separation.

 

Kristin Jackson Brown has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Grampian-Houston Association and continues in her role as co-ordination of the Grampian-Houston student nursing exchange.
